The step-step process for starting the backswing
It is important for you first to get into position. Once you are in position, start making slow movements with your arms, which should set you off on a good backswinging exercise.
The problem with starting a backswing too fast is that you could end up having a steep swing plane which can also cause a big time reduction in the accuracy and power on your strokes. Work on a mechanism by which your right shoulder is a bit lower than the left shoulder, if you are righthanded, and complete your backswing.
One of the bad habits of backswing, especially when you start is to get this done only with your arms and hands, and not involving other parts of your body. This is not a good practice and will not give you the necessary power. If you wish to get rid of this, you must practice, and not get preoccupied by silly things. Remember, a fluid motion of your arms, hips, shoulders and upper legs is most important for you to get the
perfect backswing.

The process to complete the backswing
What people don’t know about golf is that when the backswing has to come through, the body moves slightly. This is not to mean that you must start dancing all over the place but one thing is for sure – If you can have a good positioning for your elbows and arms, you are guaranteed
good power on your shots.
At the top position, if everything is gone right until now, the battle to get the perfect golf swing you will realize has just begun. Here, the positioning of the wrists matter a lot because you dont want to
end up clutching the golf club too tightly. The club needs to be gripped firmly enough yet you must stay relaxed at all times.
When the club is right above your head, you must adjust your body positions marginally in order to get maximum power on your shots. The left shoulder, it must be noted, has to be above the right shoulder in this position and the left knee bent slightly towards the right knee. This is considered to be the best position from where you could go for the downswing.
