Three Friends Like The Same Activities

The girls were somewhat catty as they talked about their friend, Sue, who wasn’t with them. They admitted Sue’s hair was pretty but went on to criticize the way she dressed. Except one day she wore these cool pearl izumi shorts. They agreed they would each look better in them, but they thought she had good taste to pick out those shorts. The tank top was hot too they agreed.

They commiserated about how she was always bragging about how she went to the gym and how hard she exercised compared to everyone else. She always manages to get her waist size into every conversation. Yea they agreed. They went on to discuss how they wore a larger bra size. That made them grin at each other as if they had won a prize. Sue would have a hard time topping that feature.

Last week, when they got together for lunch, they ordered cheeseburgers. Sue ordered a salad and iced tea. She stared at their cheeseburgers, wishing she had one too. She just munched on her salad with low fat dressing. Her hungry eyes followed every delicious bite they took of the cheeseburgers. They really enjoyed them. Sue’s personal trainer would have disapproved.

Now it was their turn to go out on the courts with their tennis rackets. Dressed identically in whites, they carried the rackets and got ready to play. All conversation ceased as they volleyed back and forth. The whack of the racket against the green ball was the only sound they made. Sweatbands were really necessary today out in the hot sun.

After one match, they left the court. It was almost ninety degrees and both girls were dripping with sweat. They drove home in the air-conditioned car that was a used car but still nice looking. It was blue, one of the owner’s favorite colors.

Sue had a hot red car. They had ridden around with her in it. They all loved the feeling of the wind blowing through their hair in the bright convertible. Of course Sue would have the best car they mumbled.

She had a red mountain bike too. All three friends had talked about buying mountain bike for some time. Sue didn’t wait. She got hers first. They had ridden with her several times. If she had played tennis today, no doubt she would have beaten them. She was really good at sports. If Sue didn’t have such a good nature and pleasant personality, they would not be able to stand her.
